Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Agency runs Grebek Lumpur program to face the rainy season. Through this program, SDA Agency wants to optimize capacity of rivers and water channels in Jakarta.

Jakarta SDA Agency Head, Juaini Yusuf mentioned, Grebek Lumpur program is targeting to dredge mud in the rivers, reservoirs, micro and macro channels in five Jakarta municipalities.
According to him, there are 13 river locations that are the main target of this program. Those are Ciliwung River from Kampung Melayu segment to Tongtek Bridge as long as 5.3 kilometers, Ciliwung River from Tongtek Bridge segment to Manggarai Sluice Gate as long as 2.7 kilometers.
Anticipating Extreme Weather, Central Jakarta Intensively Cleans Water ChannelsNext, West Flood Canal (KBB) from Karet Sluice Gate segment to Roxy Bridge along 13.9 kilometers, KBB from Jelambar segment to Season City along 1.5 kilometers, and Adem River from Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) segment to Muara Angke along 3.2 kilometers.
"Mud dredging is needed to optimize capacity of rivers and reservoirs thus inundation can be avoided," he stated, Thursday (8/20).
For Grebek Lumpur program, his side prepared budget around Rp 400 billion. The entire budget has been allocated in each SDA Sub-agencies in 5 municipalities.
In this program, his side deployed 8,000 personnel to dredge the mud.
"Mud dredging is done under management of each sub-agencies in form of maintenance budget. Approximately Rp 80 billion per municipalities," he informed.
The budget is divided for various activities, such as for PJLP payment, fuel purchase, pump maintenance, and others.
